WELCOME! Thank you for your interest in my home buying seminars. You are taking the most important step in home ownership. Gaining knowledge! And together, we can make buying a house a simple process saving you two things that are in short supply today; time and money!
I pack a lot of information into our seminars. But don’t worry; I will always be here to answer any questions you may (and will) have. I will also take the time to go over your needs specifically. Not all mortgage products are the same! We will find the right one for you.
So what do we cover? Well, it starts with an overview of mortgages in general. What is a mortgage? What are the different kinds of mortgages? What to look for in a mortgage?
From there we go into “getting yourself pre-approved”. What is involved? Documents required. Why is getting pre-approved important? Rates and rate holds.
We will then get into different forms of down payment. Where can they come from? Do you need to have one? The RRSP – Home Buyers Plan Program. CMHC and Genworth Financial.
An important part of the real estate transaction is the “closing costs”. What are they and can they be minimized? I'll show you what to expect and budget for.
Finally, we will talk about putting together your real estate team. Your team of experts!
